JD John Organization, specializes in TIPS-MAPP/TIPS-MAPP (NA) training.
As a former foster child and a Native American, JD John has first-hand knowledge of the foster care system. As such he is able to impart a realistic view, to prospective foster/adoptive parents. Mr. John is a second-generation foster child and as such his experience has lead him to witness the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and traditionally ran, state child welfare system.
Our training consists of multiple meetings, home studies, home consultation, home visits and communication with prospective foster/adoptive parents, with an emphasis on Native American child welfare and Kinship/Fictive Kinship placements.
We utilize a face to face, group training, process, which allows for an interactive training environment. This helps both us and the prospective foster/adoptive parents, evaluate the decision to foster and/or adopt a child.
JD John’s experience helps the prospective foster/adoptive parents receive real world knowledge, and the ability to have their questions answered by someone that has been in foster care, and whom actively advocates the reform for improvement to all Title IV foster care programs.
