NICWA congratulates member, Jimmy John, as the first NICWA member to be awarded the Wisdom Circle Scholarship, a members-only scholarship for professional and educational development in the field of Indian child welfare.
Jimmy is a Foster Care Alumni and will be attending the International Foster Care Organisation (IFCO) Conference in Sydney, Australia. Jimmy will be one of the delegates representing the United States and the Chickasaw Nation, at the conference which will celebrate the work of foster, kinship, and relative caregivers across the world and to empower the caregivers to continue their support of some of the world’s most vulnerable children and young people in the foster care system.
